Job Description:
Established Massachusetts based contractor is seeking a full time Project Estimator.
Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate initial project plans and specifications Prepare estimates and establish budgets for projects ranging from $1 million to $30 million Review contracts to ensure that everything related to the estimate is included and accounted for Manage and estimate complex project requirements Additional duties as determined by Executives Job Requirements:

years estimating experience Strong knowledge of electrical and/or site and civil construction Works with numbers accurately Self motivated Highly organized Understands and can execute take-offs of construction documents Full knowledge and understanding of contracts; general requirements, general conditions, plans, specs, addendums, etc.
Ability to write proposal and complete estimate without guidance Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and stay focused, as well as with a team Transportation, electrical, communications, or other contracting experience Familiarity with principals of cost estimating (computer based) Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Primavera, Cost estimation programs Preferred Extras:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil or Electrical) Previous experience in project estimating of large scale facilities and/or Federal and state contracts (medium to high voltage distribution projects and substation construction preferred) Company
