We are searching for an individual who is experienced and passionate in animal care.
We are NOT hiring anyone who does not have field experience at this time.
We are looking for an Individual who is reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and wanting to also have some management roles.
We value long-term commitment and seek candidates with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Located in Norton, MA and servicing a 10 mile radius, we provide pet sitting and dog walking services to a range of animals, from cats and dogs to horses and pigs.
We operate seven days a week, including holidays, from 7am to 10pm to ensure stress-free pet care while owners are away.
We do require help on holidays and weekends.
Must be 18 or older and live local to Norton, MA.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Drive to client homes and local trails - Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being - Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks - Monitor all pets for any signs of distress or illness during visits - Follow specific instructions left by pet owners and make decisions in the pet's best interest - Clean up after all pets and dispose of waste properly- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients - Complete professional visit reports using our mobile app - Ensure pet safety and home security - Display loyalty, willingness to learn, and discipline -Do management work Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in animal care (required) - Strong problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently - Ability to handle and restrain dogs as well as animals of various sizes and temperaments - Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting (e.
g.
, carrying large dogs or bags of pet supplies) - Familiarity with equine care is a plus - Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients - Experience in management is a plue - Reliable transportation and clean driving record (required) - Pass a background check (required) - Smartphone for app usage Note:
