Why join us?We offer a competitive salary with an outstanding benefits package including health insurance, accrued vacation time and employer-matched 401kJob DetailsThe Procurement Manager will be responsible for planning, strategic sourcing and procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontract services for electrical utility distribution projects, substation projects and utility-scale solar projectsProjects will vary from $1M to $60M.
Description:
Develop effective working relationships with suppliers in order to negotiate the best value and ensure the quality of services and materials purchased.
Monitor and analyze supplier activity for financial, contractual, and performance levelsRegularly communicate with suppliers for continuous improvement.
Request submittal information from vendors when needed.
Interface with and provides subject matter expert knowledge and support to Project Managers and Estimators.
Support and participate in supplier selection and management Plan project specific requirements collectively with project managers and purchase to meet project schedules Identify, manage, and mitigate risk with vendors.
Work closely with Operations and Project Managers departments to ensure quality conformance and timely attention to any non-conformances.
Coordinate and attend project planning meetings.
Inspect the site; review and/or coordinate design reviews for the various disciplines, review for code compliance and adherence to the contract requirements.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresParticipate in the refinement of procurement policies and best practices Effectively resolve policy concerns and ensure compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
Minimum of five (5) years experience in procurement management (medium to high voltage transmission, substation construction and/or solar experience preferred) Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, experience with construction management software preferred Must be able to communicate in a professional, business-like manner (using clear and precise language) Must have strong experience negotiating subcontracts and purchase orders Possess extensive market knowledge Previous experience in procurement of large scale facilities and/or Federal and state contracts (medium to high voltage distribution projects substation construction and renewable projects preferred)Interested in hearing more? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
