Diesel/Truck/Bus Technician

Job Summary: Technicians perform diagnostic troubleshooting and service repairs on a full range of trucks, buses, trailers, diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, drivetrain, brake, air systems as wells as preventive maintenance (PM) services and pre-delivery inspection (PDI) on all new vehicle sales. Populate Repair Orders (RO) with required data and follow OEM repair/warranty guidelines. We provide continuous training to remain current in this ever-changing high tech industry with our state of the art in-house training department and OEM factory training. Additional opportunities include cross training in Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) and Auxiliary Power Units (APU) in truck and trailer applications.
Position requirements:
High school Diploma or equivalent. Minimum (2) years experience in the field of automotive / truck or bus repair
Reliable / Motivated / Strong work ethic
Skills to sufficiently diagnose and repair trucks, buses, trailer and general on highway vehicles
Flexible shifts / overtime
Perform road service calls as required
Proficient with computer operation/usage
Primary responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of trucks, buses and trailers
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
Follow established technical and administrative processes
Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
Adhere to shop processes and procedures
Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members and customers
Participate in training and educational opportunities offered by the company, remain current on technical and regulation requirements for job position
Minimum Requirements:
Must hold a MA drivers license
CDL license a PLUS
Must hold or be willing to work toward ASE certifications
Demonstrate technical knowledge of components, methods and equipment to perform, prioritize and complete job assignments
Must possess adequate verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to lift 75# and pass a HPE physical

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
