Purchasing Coordinator - Millwork

We are currently seeking a Full Time Purchasing Coordinator to join our team!
Position Summary: The Purchaser provides support to the Production Team regarding the purchase of materials, sourcing services and stock listing to facilitate production needs. Establishing relationships with customers, vendors and contractors while providing superior customer service throughout the process. Maintains all phases of the process, coordinates with the production team, the customer and all other internal departments to ensure that the materials or supplies required are obtained, on-time and as budgeted. Note: This position requires prior Purchasing and prior Millwork experience.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Receives requests and generates PO's from requisitions and updates as needed.
Researches the cost and availability of materials and services, ensuring best price and adequate availability of stock to meet the production as well as additional needs if applicable.
Performs cost benefit analysis in all aspects of purchasing materials and services.
Ensures material and other costs are consistent with estimated project costs and budget.
Coordinates material receipt dates to ensure materials are in stock when needed for production.
Communicates and coordinates requisition status and receipt dates with PM's and Shop Foreman.
Ensures that materials, goods and services are reviewed, ordered and received on time and on budget.
Maintains material cost and source information.
Continuously sources new vendors, establishing relationships to ensure ongoing communication, resources and comparisons.
Facilitates efficient problem resolutions as needed.
Ensures timely completion of all PO's
Performs audits to ensure materials, products and services are received as ordered and on time.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of architectural woodworking materials methods, standards and of millwork production
Represents the company with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
Superior time management, organizational and communication skills
Ability to work with strict deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and strong work ethic
Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
Experience/ Education Millwork and Purchasing experience is required
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of Purchasing experience.
5+ years of Millwork or related industry experience.
Installation, Shop floor, Engineering, fabricating and related internal purchasing experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
