Manager, Engineering Systems

Responsible for defining and leading Engineering Systems at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals.  Implement and own processes as the new greenfield manufacturing facility currently under construction in Norton, MA is brought on-line as well as the 665 Concord Ave, Cambridge site (Alewife) and corporate headquarters in Kendall Square Cambridge, MA.  Engineering systems to include, but not limited to; drawing management, turnover package (TOP), and Engineering Change Management programs.  Act as liaison with all Facilities and Engineering teams to ensure good engineering practices, and turnover packages meet Alnylam requirements. Summary of Key Responsibilities Work in cross-functional teams to define robust, efficient engineering programs required for executing projects and ongoing operational/maintenance activities for GMP and non-GMP sites. Own drawing management program, defining procedures/process as well as any tools/techniques and managing workload across the Facilities and Engineering department. Manage external service providers, such as Revit or AutoCAD file update required for project changes for medium to large changes.  Execute small changes internally, as applicable. Own Engineering change management program, defining workflows, forms/processes and database administration. Own turnover package acceptance from vendors, as well as lifecycle management of changes, including tools/techniques required. Provide project support for vendors for all engineering deliverables to ensure consistency and alignment with Alnylam standards. Act as liaison for project teams across the company to ensure consistent approach to documentation produced by various Architectural and Engineering firms. Work closely with all areas of Facilities and Engineering team to ensure good engineering practices and standards are updated and improved over as needed. Qualifications Experience implementing programs for continuous improvement by leveraging system performance data and industry best practices Direct experience with good engineering practices, specifically in regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, NFPA70, EPA).  Detailed understanding of cGMP processes; commissioning and qualification, validation, change control preferred Working knowledge of Revit 3D modelling and AutoCAD drawing tools. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate with cross-functional teams and management on recommended course of action, with minimal assistance The ability to work at all Alnylam Massachusetts site locations/facilities.
