Overview Alnylam was founded in 2002 on a revolutionary vision and bold mission which remain firmly in place today. We are leading the translation of RNA interference (RNAi) into a new class of innovative medicines with the potential to transform the lives of people with rare genetic, cardio-metabolic, hepatic infectious, and central nervous system diseases with unmet need. Our first medicine, the first-ever RNAi therapeutic, has recently been approved by the FDA in the US  for the treatment of the polyneuropathy of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis in adults and by the European Medicines Agency in the EU for the treatment of hATTR amyloidosis in adults with stage 1 or stage 2 polyneuropathy. This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire production operation of Train 1 at Alnylam manufacturing plant through a team of functional managers and supervisors in the areas of manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, facilities, manufacturing engineering and customer service. This role will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance, utilizing continuous improvement strategies, and will ensure that objectives are met in a cost-effective manner that strives to exceed the requirements of our customers. This position will have high visibility to all levels of the organization through responsibility for safety, productivity and continuous improvement.   Summary of Key Responsibilities Direct and manage operations for production with a focus on quality and operating efficiency Develop, monitor and report on key business performance indicators in the areas of people, safety, quality, and cost. Implement, lead and support a lean manufacturing culture that aligns to the annual business plan. Support the design and implementation of work processes, resulting in efficient and high-quality manufacture of products through GMP. Track progress and drive data-based decision making in the areas of yield, labor and related expenses. Evaluate need and make recommendations on, and oversee the purchase and install of capital and expense equipment Ensure and exceed compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, yield improvement, OSHA, ISO and quality. Coach and mentor staff to accomplish objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner, reducing waste Collaborate closely with PD and QC group on successful development of new products Continue evaluation of manufacturing operations to maximize efficiencies and quality output through strategic hiring, performance management, and development of personnel. Develop and support expense and capital budgets, including monitoring of expenditures and implementation of cost saving initiatives. Promote an engaged and team-oriented workforce and provides leadership for problem resolution and optimized working relationships Perform other related duties as assigned.   Qualifications BS degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manufacturing management specializing in production of small components or metal fabrication A thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain management Demonstrated success developing and implementing continuous improvements and initiatives In depth experience creating and managing to expense and capital budgets Solid comprehension of GMP's, ISO and their impact on business operations Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
